NYSC HIRD: COUNCIL BOSS COMMENDS FREE MEDICAL OUTREACH IN OGOJA

The Chairman of Ogoja Local Government Council, Hon. Chief Christopher Agbeh, has praised the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for collaborating with the Local Government Council in its Health Initiative for Rural Dwellers (HIRD), describing it as a vital programme that enhances healthcare access in rural communities. Represented by the Supervisor for Health, Hon. David Ilom, the Chairman made the commendation during the flag-off of the fourth-quarter outreach at Egbe Mbube Community. He urged residents to make use of the free medical services, noting that the initiative aligns with Governor Bassey Otu’s “People First” agenda for improved healthcare. The Clan Head of Egbe Mbube, HRH Thomas Agbeh, also expressed gratitude to NYSC for selecting the community, assuring full support for the programme’s success. Unfortunately, with independence, the Black man replaced the white colonialist, not just the position, but also functions, privileges, and attitude of the white, climbing the high horse and becoming so important as officials of government thereby creating a  the gap between government and the governed.  The Black man was so eager to become the oppressor.  Cross River Information Boss, Erasmus, Lauds Gov Otu Over Assets Recovery:- The Cross River Commissioner for Information, Hon. Dr. Erasmus Ekpang, has lauded the State Governor’s gigantic effort in reclaiming state’s assets from privatization.  This commendation came as the Honourable commissioner for information,Dr. Ekpang, on a TV phone interview, noted that the retrieval of Tinapa will boost employment opportunities, as it serves also as a recreational center and will facilitate tourism, trade and investment. The commissioner also described the milestone as a monumental step towards development, as it will serves as antidote to poverty reduction which this administration is purposeful against alleviation.  Hon.
