Hon. Chief. Joseph Obi Bisong felicitate with Women on Mother's Day
He made known in a media statement on Sunday in Boki on the occasion of the 2020 mother Sunday .
He said, "I heartily applaud you all women on your strides in making sure your various families don't become laughing stock"
He further cited Eleanor Roosevelt, the longest serving First Lady of the United States, holding office from March 1933- April 1945.
"No one can make you feel inferior without your permission," he continued.
The morals here connotes that the position of women in a developing country like Nigeria is largely due to our own permissiveness. The second and important point in this statement is that one’s destiny is in his or her own hands and whatever path a person chooses will determine their end.
Therefore, I charge all women of Cross River State and the country at large to choose to shape their lives for the better. It is alright to dream big and set lofty goals. I hereby charge all women to spread their wings and embrace the present economic and political challenges that we face as a country today with all of your wits and might.
Also, expressing his utmost concern on the epidemic Covid19, advising all Nigerians to take caution, remain calm, law abiding citizens and prayerful as the deadly Corona Virus would go in no time, the same way it came.he concluded
