His Excellency, Governor Ben Ayade has ordered  the management of Cross River State Water Board to  discontinue the distribution of water bills for the month of April.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Water Board, Chief Victor Effiom disclosed this in a private chat with newsmen yesterday. Effiom said the Governor granted the waiver to help cushion the difficulties being encountered by citizens of the state as a result of the COVID 19 pandemic and the resultant economic challenges.

Chief Victor Effiom admonished the general public to pay their outstanding old debts to assist Water Board to serve them better especially now that the Governor has graciously waived that of this month.

It will be recalled that the Governor, Sir Ben Ayade has also distributed foodstuff and financial papackages for  the less privileged in society and is giving jobs to about 8,000 young Cross Riverians in the effort to help cushion the effects of the pandemic in the State.
