Covid 19 is real, don't join those that play politics with it

States with uncommitted governors don't have confirmed cases of Covid 19 because testing is competitive in Nigeria due to fact that large population. Also we have very few testing kids to contain the large population, so governor's that sleep will not have their citizens tested. Functional states like Lagos and Abuja have taken the lead in due delligence in the testing of their large population. Yet the testing capacity in Abuja and Lagos do not still contain their population. 

There are still  some complaints of NCDC not being proactive enough to all distress calls of citizens even in Anuja and Lagos. This is both a sign and warning that we are not having enough facilities to carter for a large population of Nigerian especially those from States with negligent governors. If you doubt me or feel I am unfriendly with facts, try to call NCDC customer's service line. I tried calling NCDC for days and could not go through. Luckily I got the Minister of health who addressed the anxiety around my area in Abuja. Let me use this opportunity to thank the Minister of health, he acted professionally and promptly though. I strongly feel the need to build stronger, broad-based and functional health institutions is the big burden before the Ministry of Health, because I strongly feel we still lack that in Nigeria especially from my experience with NCDC and that of other Nigerians

Lagos and Abuja have more cases of confirmed cases because testing and search for suspected cases of Covid 19 is intensive and a bit more thorough than other states

Don't rejoice that there is no record of suspected case of Covid 19 in your State or localities; this may either be because of the politics of hiding figures by some State Governors or your government is deliberately not sending samples for testing in your State. Rather rejoice that there more people with confirmed cases of Covid 19 that are discovered and treated. Also rejoice if your State Government have made extra efforts to provide sufficient test kids and medical preparation to contain it the pandemic.

Kano once gloated over having no case of the pandamic and played politics with the pandamic is paying the price of covering facts. Just yesterday Taraba rejoiced that they had no case but today they have 6 confirmed cases. Even almighty America is embarrassed today for it's initial politics of constant denials of  Covid 19

Our advocacy should be for our governors to show capacity by building testing centres or sending more samples of it's citizens for more testing. Covid 19 is real, let's not join leaders to politicize it. It kills both APC and PDP, Muslims and Christians, the rich and the poor, blacks and Hispanics (whites). So don't join those that want to play politics with our lives by endangering lives in the politics of a constant denial of Covid 19.  This denial and politics of Covid 19 will pose greater risk to our people

Don't forget your first responsible is to protect yourself even if your governor is careless or irresponsible. Take the necessary sanitary precautions because you are the first custodian of your life and you will give account to God if you die carelessly or due to any form of arrogance. More so your carelessness, negligence and arrogance will endanger others. Those who have politicised Covid 19 to make money will never see peace because karma must surely visit them

I am afraid that Covid 19 may overwhelm us in Nigeria because some people in government are playing politics with it and seeing it as an opportunity to make money rather than safe lives. May our case in Nigeria not be as bad as America that are continually being disgraced today because they once played politics of denial of the pandemic. Nigeria does not have facilities like America and the Americans have recorded more deaths in recent times despite their huge investment in building formidable health care systems. We don't have good health care system yet some governors still play politics with the lives of their citizens.
Covid 19 is the new global challenge, itis a thing of life and death. We must rise to engage the government to rise to the duty of protecting our lives as our Civic responsibility
