Police Nab Killers Of Indian Hemp Seller

The Delta State Police Command has arrested one Iwebunor Onyebulise, popularly known as Ukwa, and one other for the alleged murder of an Indian hemp dealer in Ogwashi-Uku, Aniocha South Local Government Area of the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, who confirmed the arrest on Thursday, stated that Onyebulise and his gang robbed and killed a man along the Adonta Road.

She said, “Ukwa (Onyebulise) and his gang waylaid the victim on the road and killed him after he had been robbed.

“The command has arrested some of the hoodlums, including Ukwa, and the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department and investigation is ongoing.”

Onyebulise was alleged to have shot the victim dead on a lonely portion of the Ejeme-Aniogo/Adonta Road.

As at the time of filling this report we gathered that the suspect shot the deceased and made  a way with his bags of Indian hemp on Tuesday in the Adonta community.

It was learnt that the victim disclosed the identity of his killer before he passed away when the gunshot attracted residents of the area to the scene of the incident.

Onyebulise was said to have been on the wanted list of the state police command.
