COVID-19: Corp Member Donates Sanitizers and Hand Washing Buckets To Cross River State Govt.

National Youth Service Corp Member, Miss Chiamaka Oluwatimileyin Nwagu of 2019 Batch C Stream II has donated alcohol based hand sanitizers and Hand washing buckets to Cross River State Government for Covid-19 response as part of her efforts in preventing the spread of the novel COVID-19 pandemic in Cross River State which is the only State left in Nigeria to record a case.

While handing over the materials to the COVID-19 task force Chairman and Commissioner for Health, Dr Betta Edu, the graduate of ISM University Adonai, Republic of Benin said the gesture was to assist in containing the spread of COVID-19 pandemic in Cross River State. According to her the items were produced locally by her under the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Programme.
Responding, Dr Betta Edu said with this single act the corp member has crested her name in gold in the roll call of honours for those who have assisted the State in containing this dangerous virus and the State will never forget her support by this kindness.

She said the hand sanitizers and Veronica buckets will go along way to prevent the virus. "We are very grateful for this magnanimity showed to us. As a State we would continue keeping the State safe and free of Coronavirus. His Excellency, Sir Ben Ayade and the good people of Cross River State wish you well in your future endeavors and a successful hitch free passing out few months from now and be rest assured that we'll at some point reciprocate this kind gestures directly or indirectly."
