The 2019 Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi, has condemned the gruesome killing of 21 members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Central: understands that officials of the Department of State Services (DSS) clashed with members of the pro-Biafra group in Emene community primary school, Enugu state on Sunday. The clash in its wake left 21 IPOB members as well as two DSS operatives dead.

(6) JAMB Lifts Suspension On Printing Of Admission Letters, Correction Of Errors, Others

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the ban on printing of admission letters and processing of Inter-university transfers has been lifted.

The spokesperson of JAMB, Dr. Fabian Benjamin made the disclosure in a statement released on Sunday in Abuja.

Olarenwaju Kazeem, the Director-General of Chief Olusola Oke Campaign Organisation, has dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).

Recall that Olusola Oke lost the APC governorship primary to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State.

Bishop David Oyedepo, founder and presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church A.K.A Winners’ Chapel has disclosed that he’s not scared of the Coronavirus disease. The outspoken clergy further claimed that if anyone infected by the virus is brought to him, he will pray for such a person and he/she will recover.

Oyedepo added further that he won’t wear gloves before attending to the person as what he carries is eternal life, not human life.

(9) Coronavirus: NCDC Confirms 138 New COVID-19 Cases In Nigeria

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday evening, 30th August 2020, confirmed 138 new cases of coronavirus disease infection in Nigeria.

Central reports that the new cases of COVID-19 infection were confirmed via a statement on the official Twitter handle of the health agency. The development brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria to 53,865 which includes 41,513 discharged cases and 1,013 deaths.

(10) BBNaija: How Viewers Voted Housemates In Eviction Show

Organizers of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) have released the details of how viewers voted for housemates in Sunday’s eviction show.

Central had earlier reported that TolaniBaj, Wathoni and Brighto were the housemates sent home from the reality TV show. All housemates aside from the Head of House (HOH), Ozo and his deputy, Nengi, were up for eviction as biggie made use of viewers vote to evict the housemates.
