Hon. Theresa Jabe Omang donates food items to orphanage home

The honourable councilor representing the Ekpashi Ward in Boki LGA, Hon. Tessy Omang has on Saturday donated food and non-food items worth thousands of naira to the Divine Providence Orphanage  home in Ogoja Local Government Area of Cross River State.


Speaking at the event, Hon. Theresa Omang who is also the deputy leader of Boki legislative council state said that, the gesture was inline with the policies of one of the blueprint  of managing her  annual turn-over in touching the lives of the less privileged as she termed this year a “Season of surprise”.

The central reports blog correspondence learnt that the honourable councilor while presenting the items to the leadership of orphanage home, also reaffirmed her commitment toward assisting the needy to the best of her ability at all times, and the orphanage homes  for the kind gesture of prayers and intercessions on her behalf.

Children gathered in their numbers in solidarity and prayers to the Hon councilor.

Responding, Coordinator of the Devine Providence orphanage home in Ogoja, Cross River State  Rev. Sister Rita Abang applauded the effort of honourable Theresa Omang for remembering them as Orphans, saying that it is not easy for somebody to think about someone who is in need, and thanked her for the kind gesture. She prayed for the councilor, poured encomiums on her and wished her well in her office as councilor of the Ward and deputy leader of the council.

The children who sang a joyous song in appreciation to the honourable councilor representing Ekpashi Ward, Hon. Tessy Omang for remembering them and to God, the children expressed happiness over the kind gesture and prayed to God to grant Hon. Tessy Omang her heart desires and many more good things as she sojourn into politics.

Items presented including bags of rice, packs of seasoning , groundnut oil, soaps, tissue papers, indomie noodles, candies  as well as beverages among other cash gifts.
