Senator Sandy Onor gives relief materials to victims- Central Reports

*WINDSTORM AND FIRE DISASTER: SENATOR PROF. SANDY OJANG ONOR FACILITATES  RELIEF MATERIALS FOR VICTIMS.*


The Senator representing Central Senatorial District of Cross River State has facilitated relief materials from National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) for Victims of the recent windstorm in both Ikom and Etung Local Government Areas which destroyed properties of constituents of the district rendering many, homeless. 


The relief materials includes; Food Items, Mattresses, Mosquito nets, and some building materials worth millions of naira.


Senator Prof. Sandy Ojang Onor who had just recently given the cash donation of Two million naira to victims of the Ikom market fire disaster ensured the quick response from NEMA and  went on inspection of the materials in company of the Executive Chairman of Ikom Local Government Council, Hon. Kingsley who appreciated the Senator for finding time to come to ikom to witness the sharing of the relief materials and the Zonal Coordinator of (NEMA) South-South Zone, Mr Walson Brandon who also applauded the Senator for his people oriented representation.


Distribution of materials have commenced beginning with the Ikom victims today, Sunday 27th of September, 2020. The recipients have expressed gratitude to the Senator for showing interest in their situation. The distribution excercise will last for three days to ensure that the materials are equitably distributed to other affected Constituents in Etung LGA.


The Senator thanked the Federal government for responding to the needs of the people and reiterated his commitment to effectively represent Central Senatorial District.

Boki Chairman Joins Engineers to Inspect Okundi-Boje-Kanyang Road for Rehabilitation On Friday, December 12, 2024, a team of state engineers visited Boki Local Government Area to assess the Okundi-Boje-Kanyang road in preparation for its forthcoming construction and rehabilitation.
