3 DAYS INTENSIVE TRAINING ON SKILLS ACQUISITION IN YAKURR LGA -Central Reports

YAKURR LGC HAS ENDED UP THREE DAYS INTENSIVE TRAINING ON SKILL ACQUISITION PROGRAMME TO ASSIST THE LESS PRIVILEGE.

The Chairman of Yakurr LGA, Hon. OFEM EBRI OBETEN, said Self Reliance is key to the economic development of the Youths and the Less privilege in the society.

The Chairman made this assertion during the presentation of his keynote address in a training on Skills Acquisition organised by Yakurr LGC in collaboration with the African International Institute of Business Valuers and Management (AFRIBVAM) in the Institute of Technology and Management  Ugep.

The Chairman Said his hope for the future of  Yakurr LGA, is to uplift the  living standard  of the people, especially the youths and the Less privilege by being supportive in providing different skills and good policies targeted at encouraging Self Reliance and economic sustainability of the people.

Hon. Ofem Ebri Obeten, further charged  the participants who were selected from the thirteen council wards to take advantage of the huge benefits before them, as the benefits are enormous, adding that, the training which was declared open from 25th November to 27th November 2020. has enormous benefits which can't be overemphasized.

On his part, the Chairman of African  International Institute of Business Valuers and Management, Mr. Azubike Oko, said the Institute is committed to raise young Enterprisers for the purpose of creating employment for themselves and to assist them to access grants and loans from relevant institutions to facilitate thier businesses, and call on the participants to be serious and pay adequate attention in the training,  as the training will help them to rediscover themselves, he further commended the chairman of Yakurr LGA for being proactive by assisting the youths and the less privilege in the society to be self employed and hoped that, the Chairman will offer another opportunity to the next level of participants in the second face of the youths empowerment scheme of the local government council.

In a goodwill message, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Special duties in Yakurr LGA, Hon. Bar.   Fidelis Obeten said that the best way to approach the economy of Nigeria is through Enterprise. He  posits that Enterprising rule the  world. He reiterated his position by saying that this programme  embarked upon by the executive Chairman of Yakurr LGA is Apt and timely as the country faces  unemployment  and recession. He advised the participants to see the training as a golden opportunity to enhance thier future endeavors. He commended the chairman of Council for assisting the youths to create wealth for themselves and said such opportunities are rear the society.
