EASTER MESSAGE FROM THE OFFICE OF THE DEPUTY CHAIRMAN, NATIONAL YOUTH COUNCIL OF NIGERIA, CROSS RIVER STATE CHAPTER


Today, we join Christians all over the world to commemorate the Easter celebration which is a celebration of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. This occasion comes to rekindle hope to mankind and remind us all that an empty tomb can fill the world with grace.


Easter proves that Christ's resurrection was and still is a victory over death, sin, and hell. This glorious resurrection was only possible because of the sacrifices of Good Friday. Amidst the merriment and feasting which will be witnessed today in line with the occasion, we must show love to the people around us, feed the poor and hungry, and carry our random acts of kindness. We must remember that Jesus is the reason for this season. 


To every young person celebrating this occasion, I implore you to celebrate with caution. We must be careful to have a peaceful celebration that would not involve casualties or loss of lives. 


It is our mutual respect for each other that will bind us together. We are one people, working together to build a strong and better Cross River State and Nigeria for our generation and the next.


Above all, let's spread the message of Easter which is hope, renewal, and a new life. Do not forget, the world is still battling a pandemic, so apply safety measures in your celebration. There should be social distancing and proper use of face masks. 


From my office, I wish you all a wonderful Easter celebration, and may your hope be rekindled through this celebration.

Boki Chairman Joins Engineers to Inspect Okundi-Boje-Kanyang Road for Rehabilitation On Friday, December 12, 2024, a team of state engineers visited Boki Local Government Area to assess the Okundi-Boje-Kanyang road in preparation for its forthcoming construction and rehabilitation. Demonstrating her commitment to excellence and hands-on leadership, the Executive Chairman of Boki LGA, Hon. Mrs. Beatrice Etta Nyiam, personally joined the engineering team for the inspection.
