Boki Chairman Joins Engineers to Inspect Okundi-Boje-Kanyang Road for
Rehabilitation On Friday, December 12, 2024, a team of state engineers visited Boki Local Government Area to assess the Okundi-Boje-Kanyang road in preparation for its forthcoming construction and rehabilitation. Demonstrating her commitment to excellence and hands-on leadership, the Executive Chairman of Boki LGA, Hon. Mrs. Beatrice Etta Nyiam, personally joined the engineering team for the inspection. Accompanied by the Vice Chairman of the Council, Hon. Obi Jonathan, the Chairman took the lead in guiding the team along the road, from Boje to Kanyang. During the inspection, Hon. Mrs. Nyiam emphasized the importance of adhering to global best practices in road construction. She called for the strict application of these standards to ensure that the Okundi-Boje-Kanyang road, also known as the Boki East-West road, meets the highest quality and durability. The Chairman expressed optimism that the project will soon commence, fulfilling her vision of providing a modern, well-constructed access road that will link Okundi in Constituency 2, pass through Boje—the local government headquarters—and extend to Kanyang in Constituency 1. Later, Hon. Mrs. Nyiam held meetings with council staff and recent appointees, engaging in productive discussions aligned with her vision for inclusive governance.
