CROSS RIVER STATE DEPUTY GOVERNOR CELEBRATES CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR WITH THE PEOPLE OF THE NORTHERN SENATORIAL ZONE

The Deputy Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency RT Hon. Peter Agbe Odey (Ph.D.), has urged the people of the Northern Senatorial District to remain steadfast in their support for Governor Otu's administration. He assured them that the government has laid a strong foundation for the realization of the true dividends of democracy and encouraged the people to continue rallying behind the government and remain responsive to the call to service.

RT Hon. Odey, who was represented by the Head of Personal Staff to the Deputy Governor, Dr. Chris Ojikpong, emphasized that concerted efforts are underway to bring relief to the doorsteps of Cross Riverians. He added that the People's First mantra will significantly impact the provision of basic amenities for the people.

Dr. Ojikpong explained that the gift items being distributed were meant to celebrate Christmas and the New Year, urging beneficiaries to use them to improve their livelihoods. He also assured the people that, in the near future, they would witness substantial empowerment initiatives from their son, the Deputy Governor.

During the distribution ceremony, the Chairman of Ogoja Local Government Council, Hon. Christopher Agbeh, expressed gratitude to the Deputy Governor, RT Hon. Peter Agbe Odey (Ph.D.), for bringing the spirit of the season to his people. He prayed for the Deputy Governor’s continued good health, strength, and ability to support Governor Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu in fulfilling their mandate.

In responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, the All Progressives Congress Ward Chairman of Mbube East 2 Chief Jeremiah Ojong praised the sterling qualities of the Deputy Governor, noting that these qualities will propel him to even greater success. He expressed confidence that the current administration will finish strong and satisfactorily. He also joined the people in praying for the success of Governor Otu's administration, which he described as one that keeps promises and serves the people well.
Among the beneficiaries included Chapter Women Leaders of the Five LGAs of Northern Senatorial District who were led to the event by the Chapter Chairmen of Bekwarra, Obanliku, Obudu, Ogoja and Yala.
