ENDORSEMENT: Obudu Women In Politics (OWIP) Endorses Tinubu/ Otu For Second Term.

The Obudu Women In Politics a major political support group in Cross River State has thrown its weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Bassey Otu, endorsing their re-election bids for second terms of office in 2027.
The president of “Obudu Women in Politics” Dr. Sylvia Biwom Atsu while addressing the attendees said that the “Obudu Women in politics, (OWIP) was established to promote good leadership, governance, and sustainable development; qualities they believed the APC central and state administration exemplified.
“OWIP” is for good leadership and sustainable development. President Tinubu and Gov. Otu has shown commitment to building a resilient, transparent, and investment-friendly society. It is our responsibility to support their continuity in office,” Dr. Sylvia said.
She thanked the Honourable Commissioner for information, Hon. Erasmus Ekpang who doubles as the Governor’s representative for making it at the endorsement ceremony.
The declaration followed a well-attended party’s stakeholders, stalwarts and members in Obudu Local Government Council.
The group’s leadership vowed to deliver the duo for President and Governor of Cross River State respectively.
In a unanimous resolution, the group’s structures through the convener Hon. Agnes Atsu, the commissioner for Sports affirmed its support for President Tinubu and Governor Otu, citing the people-centered and people-first developmental strides and progressive policies being implemented under their leadership.
The Honourable commissioner for Women Affairs, Hon. Edema Irom assured their Excellencies of the people’s reciprocity of their commitments to the developments by giving them their full support in the 2027 elections. _”We will give Mr. President and the Governor of Cross River State our full supports in their quests for second terms because they have shown that they cares about us, the people of Obudu and by extension the entire Cross River North. Other speakers at the event separately hailed the Gov. Otu led administration for prioritizing Obudu in terms of infrastructure, and political appointments and pledged their unalloyed loyalties and dedications to his course.
The endorsement of President Tinubu and Governor Otu by the OWIP is a significant achievement in the lead-up to the 2027 elections. The party has continued to wax stronger in this region which has given rise in the recent massive defections from the opposition party.
Gov. Otu ably represented by the Cross River’s information commissioner, Hon. Erasmus Ekpang PhD while speaking at the well attended event emphasized on his “People-First” transformative vision citing meaningful projects going on in the Local Government and promised to bring projects that drives innovation and socioeconomic growth in the region.
He thanked the OWIP for maintaining their support, loyalty and commitment saying that his administration will continue to uphold the tenets of democracy by ensuring that government is brought closer to the masses at the grassroots.
Dignitaries at the endorsement ceremony includes Commissioner for Sports Hon. Agnes Atsu who is the convener of the endorsement ceremony, the Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Beatrice Igwe, the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hon. Edema Irom, the commissioner for Industries, Dr. Mathias Angioha, the Special Adviser General Duties, Barr. Ekpenyong Akiba, the Special Adviser Gender, Dr. Inyang Asibong, the president of Obudu women in politics, Dr. Silvia Atsu and the wife of the Chairman of Obudu LGA, amongst other dignitaries.
