_CR’s Information Boss, Visits Community, Inspects Self-Sponsored Projects Among Condolence Visits._


Hon. Dr. Erasmus Ekpang continuous knack for purposeful representation and stertorous vision in support of the “People’s First Mantra” has again taken another dimension as he seeks to create more impacts on community engagement and societal development.

Over the week, Hon. Erasmus Ekpang PhD, made frantic efforts by visiting his political ward, the Ogep Ward in a way of keeping in touch with the grassroots and advocating the message of the season of sweetness. 

In his usual manner of contributing his quota and appreciating the masses for their unparalleled love, indisputable supports and continued solidarity at all times, he inspected the level of education the students receive in the school, Community Secondary School, Ogep Osokom.

Regrettably, he was astonishingly ashamed at the deteriorating performance of students and lack of teachers in the school community. A school that has continued to produce sound and prominent figures in all spheres of human endeavors. 

In his efforts, he promised to influence more posting of Corp Members to the school and push for employment opportunities too. 

Overtime, he had made several outcry’s, placed humbling requests and seek partnership with appropriate governmental agency, the Secondary Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), to include the plan of the school for renovation which is gradually seeing the light of the day, as the SUBEB led by its chairman donated fifty (50) modernized chairs and tables for the school. 

Going forward, the state Information Boss, Hon. Dr. Ekpang, had earlier expressed his readiness to personally renovate a classroom block to enable the students have a conducive learning environment as a way of complementing the Governor, HE, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu whose cardinal point lies also in making sure the educational sector attain an enviable, sustainable and affordable height for all. 

In a way of encouraging, and reawakening citizens consciousness, he had a tit for tat chat with students assuring them of the government’s resolved decision to attend to their plights. 

Impressively, he hosted the All Progressives Congress Ogep ward exco’s. He used the opportunity to encourage them on the stern need to sensitize indigenes and inhabitants of Boki to register for the Voter’s Registration going on.  

Again, he inspected the Health post in Obubra-Bansan Osokom and made substantive remarks, pledging to work through the Director General of Primary Healthcare   Development (Dr. Vivian Otu) to ensure the health post is completely refurbished and upgraded. 

Conclusively, he concluded his tour by paying a condolence to the Boki Local Government Chairman, Etieka Hon. Mrs. Beatrice E. Nyiam over the demise of her brother, late Mr. Joseph Oyong Etta.  He prayed for peace to the deceased and comforts to both immediate and extended families left behind to mourn him.
