PDP CAMPAIGN TRAIN ROARS INTO CROSS RIVER NORTH

(DOMINIC KIDZU Reporting) The people of Northern Cross River are once again presented with the opportunity of interacting with their next Governor and Deputy, as Senator Sandy Onor and Mrs Emana Duke-Amawhe lead faithful members of the PDP in the charge for the five local government areas this week. Spokesman for the party in the state, Mike Ojisi said that the campaign would make critical stops in Obanliku, Obudu, Bekwarra, Yala and Ogoja local government areas to put forward the party's agenda for the people in the run-up to the general elections next month. Most hotels and guest houses in the five local government areas have been locked down to accommodate the entourage expected to be in thousands with hundreds of vehicles on the move. As at last night, finishing touches to campaign arenas were being rounded off by the advance team comprising of party faithfuls and technicians. Senator Sandy Onor, an eloquent intellectual and seasoned politician seeks to return the state back to the PDP and to the steady progress that was interrupted after Governor Ben Ayade took the mandate he got from the PDP and eloped into the APC because he was unable to settle disagreements arising from wards and local government party congresses. Distinguished senator Agom Jarigbe Agom and other candidates of the party in the Northern senatorial zone are expected to join the team in the various rallies in the area.
