AREWA YOUTHS COMMENDS THE GOVERNOR OF CROSS RIVER STATE FOR HIS CONTRIBUTION IN THE LAST PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION.
The youths of the northern part of the country have commended the Governor of Cross River State, Governor Ben Ayade for his patriotic and selfless contribution to success of the APC in the state in the last presidential election. The Arewa Youths while addressing a press conference in Abuja commended the uncommon sacrifice made by the governor in ensuring that APC won the presidential election in Cross River State which was historical and unprecedented in the political trajectory of the state since 1999 when PDP took over the state politically.
It would be recalled that Governor Ben Ayade joined the ruling APC in May, 2021 and has since vowed to make Cross River an APC dominated state and thus spread same to other states in the region. What else could be more selfless politically than the victory the governor gave the APC at the presidential level thereby sacrificing his senatorial ambition and concentrating all energy on the presidential election in the state. This was what terminated the years of PDP dominance in the state regarding presidential elections.
While taking a second look at the administration of Governor Ben Ayade in Cross state, the Arewa Youths noted that since 1999 till date, no governor in the state had touched the lives of the common citizens like Governor Ben Ayade. Despite the decline in the federal allocation to the state as against the years of abundance the state enjoyed before the present administration came into power, yet no governor ever in the state performed the way Governor Ben Ayade is doing.
The group urged other state governors to take a clique from Governor Ben Ayade in the area of industrialization which stood the state out. The industrialization drive of the governor of Cross River was attributed to the high technological advancement the governor brought to leadership hence, creating hundred of thousands of jobs for the good people of the state especially the youths.
The group also made reference to the garment factory in Calabar which has over 2,000 electric powered garment producing machines with the capacity to take care of the production of all our military and paramilitary uniforms among other benefits. The garment factory has two fashion labels; the Cross River Garment Factory Line (CR-GFL) and the Calapina Line.
Agriculture being the bedrock of our local economy through the GDP, Arewa Youths commended the agricultural revolution of Governor Ben Ayade's administration in which it was President Muhammadu Buhari that commissioned the Rice Seedlings Project of the governor which still remain an innovation many states are grasping to replicate today.
Also, the group added that Governor Ben Ayade celebrated Christmas with his people during last year's Christmas season by distributing homegrown 'Ogoja Rice' to all micro family units/polling stations of Cross River North, a generous and thoughtful act many leaders today need to emulate.
Above all, the group believes that the only way true and genuine patriots like Governor Governor Ben Ayade could be encouraged and shown as a good reference to others is by beena cabinetmemberin the nextadministration.
